- Abstract
- The public debate about improving the swedish healthcare system is passionate and displays many opinions. Some issues raised are the excessive wait to see a medical professional. Additionally, politicians and the public are discussing at which administrative level healthcare should be organised and how the government can control healthcare effectively.
The debate concerning the issue illustrates how parties differ and agree on strategies of organisation. This study aims to discuss the organisation of the swedish healthcare system by comparing problem definition and the proposals for political action of two major parties, Socialdemokraterna and Kristdemokraterna. By using a deductive method we seek to analyse the material in regards to centralisation/decentralisation and control.
