elever i årskurs 9. (More)

elever i årskurs 9.

The study aims to investigate the approach of music teachers to extra adaptations and the
methods they use to make teaching understandable for all students. The work also aims to find
out if the interviewed music teachers in the study feel that they receive the help they need in
their work with extra adaptations and special support. A survey also provides an insight into
how students perceive music teaching regarding extra adaptations and special support. I have
conducted three semi-structured, qualitative interviews with music teachers who work in
middle and high school and a student survey of quantitative form with students in grade 9.
The result shows that the three different teachers in the study have both shared and different
views as well as ways of working on extra adaptations and special assistance. The results
show, just as in previous surveys, that the three interviewed teachers do not consider
themselves to have enough skills to teach students who are in need of special support and / or
have a disability. There is a desire from the interviewed teachers to receive skills training in
the field as well as more support from a special education teacher. The student survey shows
that the students have a positive view of their music education. Most are satisfied with the
help and support offered during the music lesson at school. (Less)
