- Mitt examensarbete har varit en utforskande process i hur arkitektur förhåller sig till landskap och natur. Arbetet har resulterat i ett exempel på hur mitt förhållningssätt skulle kunna anpassa sig och landa på en plats med vissa givna förutsättningar. Exemplet tar form i ett galleri och café vars arkitektur följer och ställer ut platsens subtila förändringar och övergångar i landskap och natur.
Examensarbetet utspelar sig på Bergdala, också kallat Lilla Stenshuvud, ett vackert jordbruks- och naturlandskap strax söder om Kivik. Verksamheterna Bergdala Jordbruk AB, en mindre jordbruksverksamhet, och Kivik Art Centre, en kulturverksamhet med fokus på gränssnittet arkitektur - natur - konst, samexisterar här och har under flera års tid... Platsen är intressant med en atmosfär som tillåter ett utforskande angreppssätt för arkitektur i känslig natur- och jordbruksmiljö.
Genom arbetets gång har jag hela tiden velat väva samman de båda verksamheterna på platsen. För att samarbetet ska fortsätta utvecklas måste båda parters intressen tas till vara på. En del av min process har varit att försöka spegla jordbruksnaturen genom arkitekturen och på så sätt synliggöra platsens värden. (Less) - Abstract

They have coexisted for several years and together they have created a unique place for combined nature and architecture experiences. The site is interesting as it possesses an atmosphere allowing an explorative approach for architecture in a sensitive nature and agricultural environment.
Throughout the process I’ve always tried to design to allow the two businesses to connect. In order to develop the collaboration between the two, both of their interests need to be taken into account. A part of my process has been me trying to reflect the nature of the agricultural landscape through the architecture and bring forward the values of the site. (Less)
