Spisbränder – en experimentell studie kring antändning av livsmedel och andra föremål på spisen

- Abstract
- Fires due to cooking of food or forgetting other objects on a hot stove plate is one of the most common cause of fire in Sweden. This report will investigate the risk of ignition on a hot stove plate for several objects and examine how the expert witness reports regarding stove fires are written today and how they could possibly be developed.
The examination of expert witness reports showed that only 40 % of the 30 expert witnesses mentioned which type of object that has been left on the hot stove plate when determining the risk of ignition. The expert witness reports had become more credible if they referred to other experiments and reports when determining the risk of ignition. The result of the experiment showed that the objects... The expert witness reports had become more credible if they referred to other experiments and reports when determining the risk of ignition. The result of the experiment showed that the objects that tend to ignite are food products with a high fat content, paper products, kitchen towels and wood. (Less)
