- Abstract
- The purpose of the study has been to examine how people on the three most popular dating sites for young adults in Sweden are presenting themselves in the digital landscape. People can present themselves in many ways and this study has mainly focused on the visual presentation. It has reviewed to what extent young adults emphasize their bodies on different dating sites. The study has reviewed a total of 240 profiles, whereof 80 profiles on each dating site. The three dating sites examined are Tinder, Badoo and Happy Pancake. The result of the study shows that the users on Tinder and Badoo tend to emphasize the body somewhat more than the users on Happy Pancake, no matter if it were only concerning the profile pictures or concerning all...
