- Transitional justice is an essential part in any peacebuilding project. This study will aim to examine the relationship of the global and local spectrum in a transitional justice process and try to understand how the western adversarial systems erode and repress the local justice systems. The thesis will seek to study the empirical illustrations in a case study of the transitional justice process of Kenya. With the lens of friction and John P.
