The results acknowledge that counselors are pleased with ACT as a method to illuminate factors that make adolescents unhappy with their lives and how they can change them according to what they desire. Further findings affirm that ACT may improve a young person’s self-empowerment and ability to take control over one’s life. Lastly, the results showed that counselors can use ACT to improve adolescents' psychological flexibility by gently guiding and helping adolescents to become more aware of their thoughts. (Less)
