- Abstract
- The purpose of this essay is to investigate how social workers assess whether the care with the Swedish legislation, Care of young persons act, LVU, should be terminated. And also to examine what measures and support are given to the biological parents after the application of LVU. To examine this a semi-structured, qualitative interview took place where four social workers from a town in the south of Sweden participated. All these social workers, child investigators, work with cases involving children in which LVU is used. The results were analyzed using development-ecological theory.
