The addressed research question was structured in consideration of relevant theories, such as the Triple Bottom Line (TBL), Dyllick & Hockerts (2002) sustainability model, stakeholder theory, and paradox management strategy within corporate sustainability practices. We have conducted a single-case study of Duni Group, an international company part of the aforementioned industry, having collected the data used for analysis through a semi-structured interview process. Our study identified three main categories of tensions, namely within: (1) sustainable product considerations, (2) regulatory compliance, and (3) stakeholder interactions, followed by implications for tension management strategies. Our findings suggest that the TBL approach to sustainability is relevant within the single-use paper products and packaging industry, highlighting the interrelation between the three dimensions: environmental, social, and economic. Lastly, the importance of company-stakeholder cooperation has been emphasized. (Less)
