Narrative of Dialogue in Saudi Short Story

Abstract
The study based on the descriptive analytical methodology, using the tools of the modern narrative theories, to examine the Saudi short stories. The study shows that the dialogue performs diverse functions linked to narrative’s transformations in the text. Also some of the dialogues cover the text and other contained different partial narratives, or parallel stories to the central story. The study concluded to emphasize the existence of relating between the dialogue and shaping of the narrative view, the narrator, narratee, and the narrative time. We find that the dialogue is able to make its narrative activity also add new entrances to the text from the various perspectives
