Performance characterization of compact multiple antenna terminals
(2009)- Abstract
- Co-band multi-antenna implementation in realistic compact user terminals is of great interest to the wireless telecom industry for achieving high data rates. This licentiate thesis focuses on the mechanisms behind the implementation of multiple antennas for diversity and MIMO gains in everyday user terminals. Specifically, the effects of compactness, user interaction and propagation channel on the implementation are investigated through extensive simulation and measurement studies.
