- Objects as time machines: Firstly his article proposes that museums prevent archaeological objects as "time machines" by removing traces of their age and by hindering close contact with visitors. The article also questions the need for more museums as their growing number represent an utopia of keeping the pace with modernization or even vanquishing time itself.
