Abstract

This chapter presents a dual-purpose exploration of contemporary bibliotherapy and Shared reading practices in Sweden and Finland, focusing on their expansion and trends. Drawing from existing Nordic literature and research, as well as interviews with practitioners, the first part offers an overview of these evolving practices. This overview sets the stage for the second part, a dialogue with literary trauma studies, where the ethical dimensions of literary representations of trauma are being explored.
