Risk perception and desire in decision-making : the case of Syrians’ sea migration to Europe

Based on narrative interviews with Syrian refugees arriving in Europe via the Mediterranean Sea, this study contributes to a deeper understanding of the decision-making processes involved in migration. It explores the interplay between the subjective factors such as risk perception and desire experienced by Syirans who took risky sea crossings.
