Abstract
A number of Roman Marble heads in Swedish Royal possession since the 17th century may be traced back to the collection of the burgomaster Rockox in Antwerpen. Four of these occur in the famous painting by Frans Francken the Younger representing a feast in Nicholaas Rockox' home. Althoug more marble heads to be found in the Stockholm collection may be traced back to Rockox two of the heads in the painting can no longer be identified among the preserved marbles.
