Sketching a philosophy of entrepreneurship

What does it mean to approach the task of sketching a philosophy of entrepreneurship as if such a philosophy is needed and doable? At a minimum it would need to mean that such a task is inscribed in a genealogy of pursuits that lend to it a shimmer of legitimacy and potentiality. Previous efforts, similar in kind, suggest that attending to the philosophical issues that are immanent to the what-and how-questions and problems dealt with within a particular ‘discipline’ represents an important learning per se. In addition, we have philosophy and books, such as Philosophy and Organization (Jones and ten Bos 2007).
