- Do the benefits of having a mental attitude, such as a belief or an intention, provide normative reasons for this attitude? If so, these reasons would be quite different from ordinary reasons for attitudes, which seem to be related to the content of the attitude rather than the benefits of having the attitude itself. This conference focuses on questions that this distinction between (what are often called) reasons of the wrong kind and reasons of the right kind gives rise to, and its impact on the theory of normativity and value.
