Skoki z „Mazowsza” i rower wodny. Ucieczki na Bornholm z komunistycznej Polski

Cordes, Milosz Jeromin LU orcid (2022)
Abstract
When Gomułka came to power, cruises to the West, mainly on the Baltic Sea, were allowed on the "Mazowsze" tourist ship. It usually passed Bornholm and moored at a safe distance from the island, so that cruisers could see the hostile West, but they did not taste it. In August 1957, on the first day of the layover, two young men jumped off the ship and swam a few hundred meters to Snogebaek south of Nexø. One of these escapees later worked in Denmark as a swimming coach, says Maria Tuniszewska-Ringby, an employee of the Bornholm Museum and a researcher of escapes to Bornholm from the People's Republic of Poland and East Germany.
