- Gunnarpshemmet was a closed detention camp for female refugees. Fifty-seven women were forcibly detained here be-tween 1945 and 1946. This article examine the camp, focusing on the internment of former concentration camp prisoners who had been transferred to Sweden with the “white buses” Red Cross rescue operation, undertaken in the spring of 1945.
