New schemes for trellis source coding at various rates
(2004) Nordic radio Symposium, 2004 (NRS'04) p.15-19- Abstract
- Some earlier trellis source coding methods are extended to new sources and new rates above and below one. The new schemes have in common a code design based on branch correlation and an encoder based on both the Viterbi algorithm and tailbiting MAP techniques, The results from these simple schemes often exceed that of all previous methods with similar complexity.
