Patroni svanesång : Avvecklingen av den lukrativa patronatsrätten i Skåne och Halland

Abstract
In Skåne and Halland, the right of patronage was more extensive than in the rest of Sweden and a part of the aristocratic-feudal position and identity. During the 19th century, its character changed and became more multifaceted. At the beginning of the 1920s it was abrogated and thus one final remnant of a feudal society disappeared. In a few concrete examples – Löddeköpinge, Borgeby, Genarp and briefly Örtofta – the character and settlement of these patronal parishes are described.
