Study on EEG-based carelessness warnings to bus driver
(2022) 3rd IEEE International Conference on Human-Machine Systems, ICHMS 2022 In Proceedings of the 2022 IEEE International Conference on Human-Machine Systems, ICHMS 2022- Abstract
To reduce traffic accidents caused by driver factors, realizing technology to monitor and preemptively respond to the state of a driver is necessary. In this study, drivers' electroencephalogram (EEG) data during driving were acquired, and the effect of carelessness warnings was analyzed. The frequency of carelessness per minute was low for the case of presence of warnings. The originality of this study is that the effect of carelessness warnings was confirmed from the data acquired from actual commercial bus drivers, utilizing an EEG-based monitoring technology.
