Mossviol utdöd i Skåne : Har hybridisering med kärrviol utplånat mossviol?

Abstract
An inventory of Viola epipsila has been performed in Skåne, southern Sweden. To elucidate identity of the species and the hybrid with V. palustris, herbarium material was critically examined, including analysis of pollen fertility. Study of papillae (glass hairs) on the lower leaf surface showed an increase of the papilla density during the succession of the leaves (tertiary leaves having more papillae than secondary and primary ones). The results showed that the hybrid has been collected from more localities than V. epipsila in Skåne, and that almost half of the localities of the species also hosted the hybrid.
