Abstract
So-called child neuropsychiatric disorders (ADHD/DAMP, autism spectrum disorders, Tourette's syndrome) are being recognized with increasing frequency in child and adolescent psychiatry. The diagnostic process involves clinical interviews and observation, neuropsychological evaluation and, if possible, a parent interview. So far, the impact on quality of life of a child neuropsychiatric diagnosis received in adulthood is not known. Follow-up studies are needed. (Less)
