Precision determination of the fine structure of the 4d state in sodium using level crossing spectroscopy

Abstract
The 4d state in Na, which recently has been studied in several two-photon absorption experiments, was investigated by level-crossing spectroscopy. For the fine structure splitting we find the value 1028.3(6) MHz.
