(2014) In Synergies Pays Scandinaves p.23-35- Abstract
- In this article, in the light of the important epistemological changes in human sciences since the 80’s, which had the merit of clarifying the foundations of modern scientific nature, we focus on the difficulties in classifying the orally transmitted material. We show, that the question is not so much what we talk about, when we talk about genres, but how we talk about it. We demonstrate that the disagreements among researchers often emerge due to different ways of using the terminologies on the material, rather than different ways of actually apprehending the genres. The path to consensus might be situated in between essentialism and nominalism.
