Abstract

The performance of graphene-based and multilayer MoS2 based MSM (metal-semiconductor-metal) photodetectors is compared in this study using analytical analysis and simulation. At varying voltages, optical powers, and wavelengths, the total illuminated current, photocurrent, and photo responsivity in these two photodiodes show distinct findings. While adjusting the wavelength of the incident light at-10V biasing voltage, this investigation shows that MoS2 based photodiode has 1.3 times greater Schottky barrier height (SBH) and direct bandgap photo responsivity than graphene-based photodiode.
