- Abstract
- This is a contribution written for aspiring teachers of religionskundskap. It depicts what it means to grow up as a Buddhist, including reflections on childhood in Buddhist early sources and the childhood of the historical Buddha. It starts out with looking at children growing up among Buddhists and includes, in the end, South Asian Buddhist child monks as well as American and European perspectives. The bibliography also mentions a short list of Buddhist books for children in European languages.
