Community Walk : a co-costumed "walking and talking" performance

Østergaard, Charlotte LU (2020)
Abstract
Community Walk (a co-costumed "performance") locomoted through the central area of Copenhagen on July 30, 2020. Community walk was a part of the festival Wa(l)king Copenhagen. During 12 hours I "walked and talked" co-costumed to 12 difference co-wearers _ one hour with each wearer.
Wa(l)king Copenhagen was developed and organized by Metropolis (Copenhagen’s International Theatre) as a response to the Danish pandemic lockdown in March 2020. Over 100 days, 100 different artists (me as only costume designer) were invited to ‘walk’ for twelve hours in different areas of Copenhagen, Denmark. During the twelve hours each artist was asked to live streamed 5–10 minutes each hour as a way to invite the public to follow the different events.
