Mountain Songs (e27) for solo voice : I. LifeHouse (stopping Epi) II. Noyve III. Sephth

Edgerton, Michael LU orcid (1998)
Abstract
I. LifeHouse (stopping Epi) II. Noyve III. Sephth

The pieces that comprise Mountains Songs (1995) focus on primarily unvoiced airflow, while the oral cavity is divided into three components--aperture, mid- to rear-cavity, and lingual positioning. These pieces extend what has been commonly referred to as extended vocal techniques by exploring the potential of sound as produced through respiration, phonation, resonance/filtering and articulation.
