Abstract
The author (professor of Scandinavian linguistics, *1934, living in Lund or nearby) compares his own dialect with that of his mother (house-wife, *1912, living nearly all her life 15 kilometers outside Kalmar). Interestingly, he found very few differences. The article discusses why.
