An Inconsistency in Peter Apian's Mean New Moons in Astronomicum Caesareum

Abstract
It is shown that mean conjunction times calculated from the conjunction tables and calculated from the tables of mean solar and lunar longitudes differ by 14 minutes in Peter Apian's Astronomicum Caesareum. It is also shown that Apian used an extra longitude correction for the geographical longitude correction between Toledo and Ingolstadt for the mean longitude and longitude of argument of the Moon.
