China's "Belt and Road Initiative" : A research study of a multifaceted policy
(2022) p.325-357- Abstract
This chapter is an attempt to provide an interdisciplinary approach and appraisal. Methodologically, the chapter combines law with several disciplines in cultural studies, namely, history, ethics, and philosophy. The overarching objective is to provide a succinct overview of the development of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) while, at the same time, homing in on some of the main themes and topics that have attracted attention, either as concerns, or challenges, or controversies, or all of these. In the course of this examination, the chapter also endeavors to consider the various goals and strategies, with a view to an assessment of their impact.
