Solvärme i Augustenborg
(2004) In EBD-R--04/7- Abstract
- Malmö Stad Stadsfastigheter is planning to set up solar collectors in the
town district of Augustenborg in Malmo. The purpose of this report,
Solar system in Augustenborg – a preliminary study, is to supply a foundation
for the employer Malmö Stad Stadsfastigheter, as a guide to how
the solar collector project should be implemented. The report describes
how solar systems work and how heat can be exploited to the maximum,
as its purpose is also to increase the employers knowledge on
solar energy technique. To awaken the curiosity of the general public,
the plant will also function as an exhibition, where sun energy technique
is illustrated.

Solar system in Augustenborg – a preliminary study, is to supply a foundation

solar energy technique. To awaken the curiosity of the general public,
the plant will also function as an exhibition, where sun energy technique
is illustrated.
The optimal way of combining sun heat with district heating, is the
use of sun heat as a preheating in the system. Five separate systems are
proposed with a solar collector area ranging from 19 to 240 m2. The
total area of the solar collectors in Augustenborg amounts to 530 square
meters and is expected to produce 143 MWh per year. The cost of the
plant is estimated at 2 235 000 Swedish Kronor, which with the help of
an LIP grant will result in good economical conditions for producing
heat at a competitive price. (Less)
