- This paper highlights the importance of trust-based leadership and its essential role in human service organizations. Leadership shapes the direction of an organization and influences both its culture and outcomes. Its impact can determine whether a work environment is healthy or dysfunctional. The findings suggest that trust-based leadership is the main pillar of an effective working team. Moreover, the study reveals that barriers such as a culture of silence can occur in the absence of psychological safety. (Less)
