Abstract
This study explores how triads can be expanded and applied to generate voicings
that capture a specific sound that inspires me. The method is practice-based and involves systematic exploration at the piano, where triad-based voicings, additive structures, and polychords have been generated, tested, and categorized according to consonance and dissonance through both theoretical and perceptual analysis. The result is a structured catalogue of voicings presented as a book of exercises intended for individual practice and pedagogical use. Detta arbete undersöker hur treklanger kan användas och expanderas för att
generera voicings som fångar ett sound som jag inspireras av. Metoden är
praktikbaserad och bygger på systematisk utforskning vid pianot, där
treklangsbaserade voicings, add-strukturer och polyackord har genererats, testats och kategoriserats utifrån konsonans och dissonans genom både upplevd och teoretisk analys. Resultatet är en strukturerad katalog av voicings i form av en bok med övningar för egen övning och undervisning. Slutsatsen visar att dessa strukturer kan organiseras systematiskt och användas som ett verktyg för medveten klangdesign, samtidigt som arbetet har resulterat i ett personligt voicing-bibliotek för vidare konstnärlig praktik.
