- Abstract
- The aim of the present study is to evaluate the influence of conscientiousness and
constructive leadership prediction capabilities on organizational resilience. Self-efficacy is analyzed as a mediating variable in the relationship between each factor and organizational resilience. The study was conducted as a quantitative cross-sectional study based on a survey distributed at the Swedish construction company Peab at their crisis organization. 54 responses were collected and the data were analysed through a correlation-, regression- and mediation analysis. The result showed a statistically significant prediction of organizational resilience through conscientiousness and constructive leadership. The mediating analysis showed that... The mediating analysis showed that self-efficacy fully mediated the relationship between conscientiousness and organizational resilience as well as the relationship between constructive leadership and organizational resilience. Therefore, the conclusion for the study is that organizational resilience is reliant on the employees self-efficacy which can be provided through a high degree of conscientiousness and constructive leadership provided by the nearest manager. Furthermore the study theoretically explores practical implications through strategic recruiting and leadership abilities to increase self-efficacy and therefore organizational
resilience. (Less) - Abstract (Swedish)
(Less)
