Arab Migrant Men’s Experiences with Migration to and in Sweden Through The Personal Histories of Six Arab Migrant Men

Abstract
Migration is an extremely and increasingly pressing issue, it is currently being treated as a matter of national security and resource depletion. States are trying to discourage so-called voluntary (economic) migrants from claiming refugee status whilst also trying to integrate their refugees. This research suggests that voluntary and involuntary migrants are not necessarily two separate groups of people but two modes of being that flow into each other depending on when or where the migrants are in their life, and that moving past the dichotomy of voluntarism vs involuntarism could help us study the phenomenon of migration better and come up with better policies in regards to migrants
