- This is a 10 Swedish credits essay at the sixth term of the programme for social studies at the University of Lund. The purpose of the composition was to examine how the "individual programme" is established and how it serves. The framing of the questions has been; how the programme is established; how to get admitted as a pupil; how the schools serve to reach their purposes; how the pupils themselves find their studies and how many that go on to and complete a national programme. - This is a 10 Swedish credits essay at the sixth term of the programme for social studies at the University of Lund. The purpose of the composition was to examine how the "individual programme" is established and how it serves. The framing of the questions has been; how the programme is established; how to get admitted as a pupil; how the schools serve to reach their purposes; how the pupils themselves find their studies and how many that go on to and complete a national programme. The method used to gather information has been; qualitative interviews with the counsellor of study at two grade schools; qualitative interviews with the counsellor of study, the curator, teachers and pupils at two upper secondary schools with individual programmes. Secondary information was taken from literature and the Internet. The main result is that the pupils, overall, are satisfied with their education. To reach the purpose of the education the schools mainly motivate the pupils by trainee work. Although statistics do show that few pupils graduate from a national programme within four years. (Less)
