The aim of our study is to analyze the interaction at the individual and family care in a small community in southern Sweden regardning violence against women. The aim of our study is to analyze the interaction at the individual and family care in a small community in southern Sweden regardning violence against women. We chose to study the interaction from a professional perspective, how the collaboration within the social administration is perceived by the employed at the individual and family care. The issues included in our study are:
• How does the interaction of the individual and family care in the X community regard women's safety looks?
• Is there a tendency by the employees in the individual and family care to develop collaboration internally regarding women's safety?
• What sort of support does the employees offer the abused women at individual and family care?
To get a more accurata and not just generalize results, we have chosen a combination of quantitative and qulitative methods. We designed a questionnaire that all employed within individual and family care took part of. The survey works as a basis, then we made semi-structured interviews with selected staff from all units within the individual and family care. This because we would have the opportunity to develop our questions more than just using the questionnaire, and get a better understanding of how collaboration works in the individual and family care in X community. We have chosen the symbolic perspective from organization theory and relation power as the basis of our theory approach of this study. The results of our survey and interviews are reported individually in this essay. The material was then analyzed together, which then leads to an overall analysis. In our study, we concluded that the employed at individual and family care was determined and had a driving force to a better interaction but on the other hand, there are many shortcomings. There is a chance that if the women seek out for social services in any case other than the fact that she is exposed to violence, it is easy to miss these woman’s if you do not work on women's safety in existing working groups and makes the work come alive.
