Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to understand and explain what the key success factors of an implementation of mHealth are.
Methodology: We have used an abductive process, where we have performed semi-structured interviews with staff in health care, politics and business. Theoretical perspective: Our theoretical perspective is based on Michael Porter's value chain as a comprehensive theory. We have then divided the theories into three categories: willingness, ability and organization. Based on the three categories, we have built a framework which is reflecting the empirical foundations in the analysis. Empirical foundation: This paper empirical data based on qualitative data collected through interviews with politicians, doctors, nurses and staff responsible for patients. We have also interviewed staff from Doro, Mobile Heights, CareTelCom and Zenicore.
Conclusion: We have in our empirical work, using our theory, created a framework that categorizes important factors of a successful implementation of mHealth. (Less)
