Abstract
This report is an evaluation of human safety and evacuation possibilities in case of a fire at Bräcke ice hockey arena, Sweden. Three fire scenarios have been analyzed and the modeling of these has been done by computer simulations and hand calculations. The time until the fire has reached critical conditions in the building was then compared with the time it takes for all the persons in the building to empty the premises. Results from the analysis shows that human safety in case of a fire is unsatisfactory in the current situation. A number of suggestions have been proposed in order to increase the safety level in Bräcke ice hockey arena.
