- Abstract
- Many places in Sweden contain contaminated soils which came to existence after the industrialization. Since we lack knowledge about where there are contaminants and what they are composed of the work to examine and chart up hazards is important. The purpose of this degree project has been to perform risk assessments on whether or not any contaminations are present in the soil at six properties in Burlöv. The assessments were to be done accordingly to a two-phase method called MIFO that has been set up by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. This study only contains the first stage of MIFO and a recommendation for further assessments in the second stage. At first hand I recommend further investigations for the property Arlöv 19:141... This study only contains the first stage of MIFO and a recommendation for further assessments in the second stage. At first hand I recommend further investigations for the property Arlöv 19:141 with risk class 2 (high risk) since dangerous contaminants have been discovered during earlier investigations. Arlöv 13:1 and Tågarp 16:75 also ended up in risk class 2 due to the industries’ activities and usages of dangerous substances. The rest of the properties got risk class 4 (low risk). (Less)
