Abstract
The purpose of this work is to give an insight into how vocal students describe their desire to sing and practice singing, and to find out what the students get feedback from their surroundings in voice and in practice and how feedback affects them. The study would thus create an understanding of what motivates students to sing and practice singing.
The study is based on qualitative interviews with seven vocal students at secondary school and folk high-school.
