(Less)

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to analyze Entrepreneurship as a subject for higher education.

Methodology: The thesis is founded on an abductive approach based on multiple case study built on semi structured interviews. The empirical data was analysed through a cross case synthesis followed by pattern matching.

Theoretical perspectives: The theoretical approach consists of a custom developed framework, that is completely based on research on entrepreneurship education and skills.

Empirical foundation: We have conducted seven semi structures interviews. Each entrepreneur has run their own business for at least two years.

Conclusions: The results show that entrepreneurship education can contribute to more competent entrepreneurs, however it’s prerequisite that the students possess some information and knowledge competences from before. The survey also shows that entrepreneurship education is considered to be most helpful if the individual al-ready has a clear idea or will to start their own business in the near future. (Less)
