Conclusions: Institutional logic cannot be ignored when entering a partnership; first and foremost the purpose of the partnership has to be of equivalent strategic importance for all partners. Furthermore, when selecting partners, core capabilities of the partners have to be interdependent for the partnership to generate benefits for society – the whole has to be great-er than the sum of its parts.
