- Abstract
- This study is based on the gender gap in the swedish nursing programs which gives a direct effect of the gender gap at the workplaces. This study examines how universities use their websites along side with communication and identification methods to make their student body more gender-equal in traditionally genderd occupations. If they do, does it have an impact on the actual student body? Four out of the five examined universities have a policy saying they want to decrease the gap between female and male students. The results are based on a qualitative text analysis and a semiotic analysis of the websites’ use of pictures. - Studiens bakgrund baseras på den snedfördelade representationen av könen vid svenska sjuksköterskeutbildningar. Könssegregationen vid utbildningarna ger en direkt effekt på hur fördelningen mellan könen blir på arbetsplatserna. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur universiteten använder sina hemsidor i syfte att skapa en mer jämställd studentkår med hjälp av kommunikations- och identifieringsmetoder. Om de gör det, har det en inverkan på den faktiska studentkåren? Fyra av de fem undersökta universiteten har en policy som säger att de vill minska klyftan mellan kvinnliga och manliga studenter.
