- Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur unga kvinnor, eller tjejer som jag valt att kalla dem, som studerar på gymnasiets estetiska program upplever sin vardag inom musiken. Musikbranschen är en ojämställd värld och syftet med denna studie är att identifiera skillnader och orättvisor för att musiklärare ska få större möjligheter att arbeta jämställt. Detta jämställdhetsarbete kan bidra till att fler tjejer i framtiden utbildar sig till musiker, vilket kommer att göra musikvärlden jämställd. Studien är gjord med kvalitativ metod och baseras på fokusgruppsintervju med kvinnliga musiker på gymnasiets estetiska program. - Denna studie syftar till att undersöka hur unga kvinnor, eller tjejer som jag valt att kalla dem, som studerar på gymnasiets estetiska program upplever sin vardag inom musiken. Musikbranschen är en ojämställd värld och syftet med denna studie är att identifiera skillnader och orättvisor för att musiklärare ska få större möjligheter att arbeta jämställt. Detta jämställdhetsarbete kan bidra till att fler tjejer i framtiden utbildar sig till musiker, vilket kommer att göra musikvärlden jämställd. Studien är gjord med kvalitativ metod och baseras på fokusgruppsintervju med kvinnliga musiker på gymnasiets estetiska program. Resultatet visar att samtliga informanter upplever sin situation som orättvis i jämförelse med killarna och att de behöver få ta mer plats i undervisningen. De efterlyser också mer motivation från lärarna till att öva och musicera, samt fler kvinnliga förebilder. Resultatet visar också att det är viktigt för tjejer att både känna samhörighet och känna sig sedda, vilket gör en studie av denna typ viktig i dagens samhälle. (Less)

- The aim of this study is to investigate how young females, or girls as I have choosen to call them, who study at the aesthetic program of high school, experience their everyday lives. The music industry is not equal and the purpose of this study is to identify the differences and injustice, in order to give the music teachers possibilities to work with equality. The work with equality can contribute to getting more girls to educate themselves to become musicians, which will make the world of music equal. This is a qualitative study, based on two focus groups that consist of girls at the aesthetic program of high school, at the music department. The informants also call for more motivation to practice and perform music from the teachers and more female role models.
