- Abstract (Swedish)
- Abstract
- ABSTRACT
The purpose of this thesis is to design a building worthy of non-religious ceremonies and to explore how architecture can create a ceremonious experience. The building, Tegelgläntan, is to be built in Slottsskogen in Gothenburg, Sweden. Today the location hosts an old observatory. The thesis can roughly be divided into three parts, background research, location analysis and design process. The background research was conducted by studying projects relating to the topic, doing literature studies, writing contemplating texts and interviewing people of interest. The location analysis was conducted through camera documentation, sound recording, sketches and diagrams. The design process emanated from the background and location... (More) - ABSTRACT
