It is investigated with a qualitative approach, with the use of expert interviews, complemented with existing literature.

Research and the empirical data for the thesis suggests that mhealth has several advantages to traditional methods when it comes to conveying SRH information for youth. It is further found to be a suitable method for the Kenyan context and a preferable way to learn for the youth. However, to be adopted successfully, several prerequisites need to be met, as e.g. adapting the methods to culture and context, considering practical challenges as technology and connectivity, considering social challenges, as whether phones are shared between family members and whether the most unfortunate youth are met.

Nevertheless, it can offer an easy and appealing way for youth to privately access the information they need regarding SRH and potentially contribute to overcome the information gap that exists around SRH, causing serious SRH problems for the youth. (Less)
